What’s my fitness story?
Growing up a tomboy kept me busy playing outside but playing many different sports throughout my childhood kept me in shape. As I entered high school, I excelled in softball and found my love for coaching and teaching. After college, I taught and coached high school for eight years. Overall, I have worked in the fitness industry for 16 years. A little over two years ago, I started doing Crossfit. Immediately, I knew I was hooked and I knew I wanted to be a coach!
What brought you to BLCF?
I was ready for a new fitness challenge! Heather Bramblett insisted that I would love Crossfit and she was right!
When/Where can you find me at BLCF?
I usually work out at 8:15am and 9:30am with a few random 5:15am and 6:15am classes thrown in there. I typically coach at 8:15am and 9:30am.
Inspiration—What drives me to be a better coach:
I love to see athletes improving and accomplishing their goals.
Memory bank—My most rewarding moment as a BLCF coach:
While coaching Big Lick athletes at our “Beast of Big Lick” competition! The output of energy and effort by athletes was amazing! I loved helping athletes push harder and reach new goals!
I’ve got dreams, too—My personal goals in fitness and in life are:
Complete a Spartan Trifecta, be a positive role model for my family and friends, get a muscle-up
Step into my world—What you can find me doing when I am not at the box:
I am a “stay-at-home Mom” who really isn’t at home very much! I coach a 15U boys baseball team, teach group exercise classes, and volunteer for LBHS’s Athletic Club.
Shhh, don’t tell anyone! Something that no one else knows about me:
I received a scholarship from Radford University to play college softball and played all four years of college.
What would your superhero name be?
Sporty Fit Spice-I love to play and watch sports. I am always active and on the go!
